Audio Streaming

You can provide audio streaming for all rooms or specific rooms on the platform.

Audio chat can be enabled through the room's admin panel when needed.

Note: When the audio feature is activated, the app requests microphone access from users in the room. All users in this room can listen to the stream provided by speakers.

How to set up the tools through the admin panel

To do this, you need to activate live stream tools for the platform. To do so, please go to Settings > Live streams section and enable voice streams for the service.

Next, look at the last setting on the screen: Global Audio Stream Access. Here you can enable voice for all rooms by default, or disable this toggle to activate the audio tool manually in individual rooms. For manual mode, open the specific room, go to the "Settings" menu, and switch the "Allow to Speak" toggle to active.

If Global Audio Stream Access is active, audio tools are already enabled for all chats, requiring no further action.

In the same Settings section, you can enable Auto Recording if desired (or activate recording for individual streams). This feature automatically records all your audio streams, which can be accessed and downloaded from the specific room. Recorded streams include both audio and visual content shared by speakers.

Furthermore, within the Live Streams section of the admin panel, you can activate a survey to assess the quality of completed streams. When enabled, users will receive a poll about stream quality upon closing the audio stream window. If users report poor quality, they'll have the option to check their internet connection's quality and speed. All user feedback is compiled in the Feedback > Quality Control section.

Roles

  • Moderator: Can grant or revoke the opportunity to speak in the room and turn off the speakers’ microphones. Moderators should be admitted through the admin panel.
  • Speakers: Can use a mic in the room and manage the settings. Speakers should be admitted through the admin panel.
  • Regular Users: Can raise their hands to request the right to speak.

When an audio stream ends, users can share feedback by answering several questions and rating the sound quality. All responses are gathered in the admin panel.

How to Set the Sound in the Room

In an audio chat, participants can set the sound in their chat profile. To do this, a user should click the gear icon near the participants counter—then the settings will open. Here, a user can choose which device will be the sound source and which will receive the sound.

How to Enter the Room in Advance (Before It Starts)

Through the admin panel, you need to assign a user as a speaker. A user with speaker status will be able to enter the scheduled room in the application. Other users, when clicking on this room, will see a countdown.

A recording will be made of the test broadcast that the speaker conducts in the scheduled room. This recording can be listened to and will be updated when the room starts as planned.

Feedback/ Quality control

You can activate a questionnaire to gather users' feedback after they close the stream window. The questionnaire consists of three steps:

  • Evaluation of the stream quality
  • Reason for the evaluation
  • Internet connection test
