Some tips for marketing

Don’t forget to inform your users about the new feature to boost communications.

1.Announcements

Before launching, you gathered your audience on social media or messengers. Inform them that they can now communicate directly on your platform! Regular announcements will help build user awareness. You can also send push notifications about the new feature.

Consider these approaches:

  • Social media posts explain how to join the chat and its benefits.
  • Push notifications, especially if live streaming or other special events are provided in the chat.

2. Extra Events

Host additional events in chats to attract more users and highlight the benefits of the chat feature.

  • For sports events, consider the discussion of the game. Invite bloggers, commentators, influencers, or editors from your service to host live streaming in a chat. Your users won't need to go to Twitch anymore!
  • For video platforms, host online screenings with co-watching options. Organise premieres of new films and series, or even film clubs. You definitely need a community of cinephiles! Feel fans are the most loyal audiences, and building communities for fandoms will boost engagement and retention of your service crucially!
  • For other domains, offer other video or audio live streaming with experts in a chat. Boost engagement and grab users from Twitch, Kick, and podcast platforms!

3. In-app Marketing Messages

You can use chats to send marketing offers. Add text and a picture to tell your users something important, announce something, or share valuable offers (discounts on subscriptions, free bets, etc.), or to post even your general marketing communications in chat. Also, you can send personalised pop-ups via API or link their sending with your CRM system and send offer automatically.

4. Badges and Achievements

Build the system of badges and achievements to increase retention. You can connect badge system with ratings and tiers on your main platform or create a special one for chat users only. Also, it is possible not just provie users badges, but link sticker packs with badges. In such a case, only users with specific badges will be able to send their special stickers.
